Scripture Malachi

And the Lord you are seeking will suddenly enter his Temple; and the angel of the covenant whom you are longing for, yes, he is coming, says the Lord of Hosts.

Observation

Foretold by Malachi, but still a surprise when he arrives, and unrecognised by most.

Application

God is a God of surprises. He chooses to reveal himself to use according to his own plan, not ours. It is easy for me not to recognise God as he works in my life. To overlook him or mistake him for coincidence.

Prayer

God, grant me the wisdom to discern you in my daily life, so that I can cooperate with your plans for me, rather than ignoring you and focusing on my own concerns.
