Do not be afraid; only have faith

Observation

Spoken to the father of a dying girl after he hears people saying she is dead. This must have been a very hard time to not be afraid.

Application

Fear governs so much of my life and my faith. Fear of what people will say if I tell them that I am a Catholic. Fear of what may happen to the people I love. Jesus calls me to have faith and not be afraid, but it is very hard. Which then makes it hard for God to give me the life He wants.

Prayer

Jesus, help me to put my fear aside and to trust in you. Trust that you want what is best for me and that if I cooperate that is what you will give me. Amen.
